Hallym University Hangang Sacred Heart Hospital

Professor Dong Jin Lee of Otorhinolaryngology and Head ＆ Neck Surgery was inaugurated as the 22nd Director of Hallym University Dongtan Sacred Heart Hospital.

Director Lee has achieved his MD, MS, and PhD degree at Korea University College of Medicine. He also has substantial overseas working experience in Columbia University and MD Anderson Cancer Center in Texas, USA.

He has devoted himself to the development of the hospital while serving as Chief of Otorhinolaryngology and Head ＆ Neck Surgery, Program Director of Education & Training Department, Chief Planning Officer, Director of AI Big Data Center and as Chief Medical Officer. Additionally, he served as a professor at Hallym University College of Medicine and worked hard to train juniors.

Director Lee is a leading authority in the field of head and neck surgery. He also serves as Director of Editorial Board at Korean Society of Head and Neck Surgery. He worked as member of critical pathway (CP) committee at Korean Society of Otohinolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery, and an editor at ‘Gland Surgery’ which is an international academic journal in the thyroid surgery.

Director Lee stated, “Hallym University Kangnam Sacred Heart Hospital has been responsible for public healthcare by suggesting national guidelines in the middle of Covid-19 pandemic crisis.” He added, “We will devote ourselves as a medical institution that provides consistent and best medical services.”

He also mentioned, “All members including medical and nursing departments will cooperate smoothly to provide most efficient medical service for patients.” He added, “We will become a leading hospital by providing cutting-edge medical services from state-of-the-art medical devices and by improving hospital facilities.”
