Hallym University Hangang Sacred Heart Hospital

Hallym University Technology Holdings (HUTH) of Ilsong Educational Foundation officially opened its doors under the mission of leading the future industry in the era of technological convergence.

The opening ceremony was held in its Doheon Bio Solution (DBS) building, Anyang, Gyeonggi-do, on December 9, 2020, and about 27 distinguished guests including Chairman Dai-Won Yoon of Ilsong Educational Foundation, President Choongsoo Kim of Hallym University, and Mayor Dae-Ho Choi of Anyang City attended the event to celebrate the grand opening.

The Chief Executive Officer(CEO) of HUTH is Dr. Steve Dongwook Kim. He is an expert in healthcare and audiology device industry and also served as a managing director at Samsung Electronics. The vision of HUTH is to be a cornerstone and future growth engine for the Korean economy by utilizing the research capabilities of Hallym University(HU) and Hallym University Medical Center(HUMC).

HUTH aims to foster global enterprises with state-of-the-art technologies by converging the research capabilities of Hallym University and the multidisciplinary healthcare technologies of Hallym University Medical Center

Provided with the bio-healthcare technology transfer and patents of Hallym University, HUTH will commercialize the healthcare service based on hearing aid technology, the bio-smart factories utilizing bio-inks and bio 3D printing technology, and the smart hospital based on artificial intelligence(AI) and virtual reality(VR).

“By converging the technologies and resources of our university and hospitals, we will create the most meaningful connection and communication,” said CEO Steve Kim and added “As a technology holding company of an educational institution, we will dedicate ourselves to become a global company for the better life and health of mankind, rather than just seek for profit.”
