Hallym University Hangang Sacred Heart Hospital

Medical volunteers of Dongtan Sacred Heart Hospital paid a visit to a traditional market in Osan City on Thursday, May 16, in celebration of the 6th anniversary of the opening of the hospital.

A total of 25 medical staff, including a doctor, 13 nurses, and 11 administrative staff, were dispatched from Hallym University Dongtan Sacred Heart Hospital to provide the local community with various medical services from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. that day. Around 90 local residents have received medical services such as physical examination, measurement of blood pressure, glucose, bone density and body composition, MMSE(Mini Mental State Examination), test for dementia, and education for breast self-exam and CPR, in addition to health consultation.

“I haven’t really cared about my health so far, but taking this opportunity, I came to realize the importance of my health management,” said one of the residents, after receiving medical examination and consultation.

”The steady growth of our hospital owes much to the patients and residents in the local community,” said Tae-Jin Eom, Chief Administrative Officer of Dongtan Hospital. “We will continue to do our best to gain people’s trust as the most reliable university hospital in Southern Gyeonggi Province through constant communication with local residents,” he added.
