Hallym University Hangang Sacred Heart Hospital

Hallym University Dongtan Sacred Heart Hospital held a ceremony to celebrate the success of 2000th PITA (Powered Intracapsular Tonsillectomy and Adenoidectomy) surgery on May 4th, 2016. PITA has maximized patient satisfaction by providing a rapid recovery with the preservation of tonsil, and it’s seen as a remarkable achievement in a short period since the opening of the hospital 3 years ago.

Dr. Il-Seok Park, professor of Department of Otorhinolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery said, “Our hospital is recognized for its expertise because we have been conducting PITA surgery without any side effect so far since the opening. Patients and their families are reporting high satisfaction as well.”
