Hallym University Hangang Sacred Heart Hospital

Hallym University Dongtan Sacred Heart Hospital signed an MOU with Hwaseong Fire Station to further promote mutual cooperation on the establishment of ‘Brain-Saver System,’ an information transfer system for acute stroke patients on October 8, 2015.

The Brain-saver is a mobile application that allows 119 rescue workers to send symptoms and medical information of suspected patients of acute stroke to a hospital while transferring the patient. Based on the information, the hospital can immediately examine and treat the patients on arrival. Prior to the signing, both institutions have executed test operation from August to September, 2015, and saved 9 patients with acute brain disease.

Though this MOU, Dongtan hospital and Hwaseong Fire Station have installed the “Brain-saver” in smart phones of all rescue workers and began using the system after training.
