No.4464 Date2015-05-29 Hit 29941

Hallym University Kangnam Sacred Heart Hospital and the Seoul City co-hosted a lecture on ‘Healthy pregnancy and childbirth’ for mother-to-be migrants at the Michael Hall in the hospital on May 29, 2015.

This event was part of the 2015 multicultural family perinatal care service co-hosted by Kangnam Hospital with the Seoul City for the marriage migrant women who are living in the southwest Seoul to support them with a healthy childbirth and boost their knowledge of pregnancy, childbirth and baby care. About 35 women attended the lecture and participated in Q&A session.

The lecture was followed by various education programs, including ‘preparation for pregnancy,’ ‘perinatal care,’ ‘newborn care,’ ‘relaxation and breathing techniques for a safe delivery,’ ‘healthy food,’ and ‘diet for the mothers-to-be.’

Since 2013, the Hallym University Kangnam Sacred Heart Hospital and Seoul Multicultural Family Support Center co-promoted a special project to support the multicultural family by holding health lectures, health check-ups and provide fund for medical expenses. This year they are hosting lectures on healthy pregnancy and childbirth (May & Nov), Mentor Training (Jun), provide check-up and delivery course (Jul & Aug), and experience doctor’s visiting and immunization against tetanus (Sep).
