HUMC hospitals ranks top in treating breast, colon and lung cancers

Hallym University Medical Center hospitals; Hallym University Sacred Heart Hospital, Hallym University Kangnam Sacred Heart Hospital, Hallym University Dongtan Sacred Heart Hospital; ranked in the top grade in an evaluation on treatment of breast, colon and lung cancers by the Health Insurance Review and Assessment Service(HIRA).
The HIRA of the Ministry of Health and Welfare(MOHW) reviewed whether the hospital has appropriate number of specialized doctors in treatment of assessed diseases, and their treatment were appropriate.
The annual year-end evaluation is graded on a scale of 1st to 5th and its ultimate goal is to upgrade quality of cancer treatment and related service.
Hallym University Sacred Heart Hospital received the first grade recognition in seven sectors: breast cancer, colon cancer, lung cancer, stomach cancer, acute stroke, total joint replacement surgery, antibiotics medication on acute otitis media.
Hallym University Kangnam Sacred Heart Hospital and Hallym University Dongtan Sacred Heart Hospital received the first grade recognition in breast cancer, colon cancer, and lung cancer.
