Hallym University Hangang Sacred Heart Hospital

Hallym University Medical Center held the 9th Best Practice Workshop, one of annual events that bring together employees from HUMC hospitals to showcase outstanding performances in quality improvement, medical innovation and patient satisfaction.

The event was held at Hanmaeum Hall in Hallym University Sacred Heart Hospital on Dec. 20, 2014 and was participated by HUMC leadership including Chairman Dai-Won Yoon, President Hae-Ran Lee, medical staff, and administrative officers.

First launched in 2005, the annual workshop aims to strengthen global competitiveness of hospitals and make Hallym one of the most advanced medical institutions by exploring and sharing excellent ideas and activities. With this year being the ninth, Hallym has thus far witnessed outstanding results.

The ninth event was made up of two sessions of the 2014 Best Practice Competition.

Among the presentations given at the first session include “Novel engine for clinical decision making” and “Hallym EMS pre-notification system” by Hallym University Sacred Heart Hospital, international healthcare service by Hallym University Dongtan Sacred Heart Hospital, luring Chinese fly-in patients by Hallym University Kangnam Sacred Heart Hospital.

Various presentations were also given at the second session and some of them include Hallym University Chuncheon Sacred Heart Hospital’s “Development of integrated model for HUMC international healthcare service,” Hallym University Kangnam Sacred Heart Hospital’s “Preventative activities at ICU,” and “Case management development for burn patients” by Hallym University Hangang Sacred Heart Hospital.

Seven teams received awards in recognition for executing innovative ideas into action. Winning teams will have chances to take short-term overseas training programs.
