Delegates of Swedish universities visits Hallym University Sacred Heart Hospital

Delegates from three leading universities in Sweden visited Hallym University Sacred Heart Hospital to discuss ways to start collaboration with Hallym University on Oct. 8, 2014.


The four-member Swedish delegation led by Professor Su Mi Dahlgaard-Park of Institute of Service Management at Lund University visited HUMC to invite Hallym University to the Swedish Joint Excellence Seminars which is slated to be held on April 21 and 22, 2015, and initiate conversation for starting international collaboration with Hallym University.


Other three Swedish members who joined the meeting were: Ms. Sonia Coelho Sutton, senior international coordinator of Strategic Partnerships and Networks at Lund University, Mr. Lars Holberg, director of international affairs at Linköping University and Ms. Asa Valadi, international coordinator of strategic research collaboration at Chalmers University of Technology.



The Swedish Joint Excellence Seminar will be jointly held by six leading Swedish universities including Uppsala University, which is Hallym University’s partner institution. The goal of the Seminar is to promote new collaborations in strategic areas of research and education by bringing together experts from Swedish and Korean universities.


Followed by a welcome speech by Dr. Hae-Ran Lee, President of Hallym University Medical Center and brief presentations of Hallym University and Hallym University Medical Center, Swedish members gave presentation about “Swedish Joint Excellence Seminars.”


Hallym and Swedish counterparts subsequently discussed ways for initiating possible future international cooperation.
