Hallym University Hangang Sacred Heart Hospital

Hallym University Chuncheon Sacred Heart Hospital was nominated as an outstanding medical institution for appropriateness evaluation of acute ischemic stroke for five times in a row by the Health Insurance Review and Assessment Service under the Ministry of Health and Welfare (MOHW) on May 28. The hospital is the only hospital that received the highest marks in evaluation in Gangwon Province.

According to Health and Welfare Annual Report 2013 published by the MOHW, acute ischemic stroke is No.3 major cause of death in Korea.

The evaluation by the Health Insurance Review and Assessment Service reviews whether the hospital has medical professionals who specializes in treatment of acute ischemic stroke, whether given treatments were appropriate and examines treatment outcomes.

Hallym University Chuncheon Sacred Heart Hospital scored a perfect score (100 out of 100 points) in the evaluation.
