Multicultural families in Geumcheon-gu get a first-hand hospital experience

Hallym University Kangnam Sacred Heart Hospital volunteers’ group “Nanum” invited marriage immigrants at Geumcheon Multicultural Family Support center to help them get first-hand hospital experience on July 25, 2014.


A total of 13 marriage immigrants from Vietnam, China, and the Philippines, who live in Geumcheon-gu joined the visit. Followed by welcome remarks by Dr. Jae Myung Yu, Chief Medical Officer, Dr. Jacob Lee, head of Nanum Volunteer Group for multicultural family support, explained about vaccination for multicultural families. And Unit manager Soon Geun Kang briefly introduced about the hospital and tips for using the hospital.


After getting tetanus, diphtheria, pertussis vaccine shots, the visitors took a tour of the hospital including reception and payment desk, Emergency medical center, Department of Pediatric and Adolescent Medicine, MRI room and CT room.


Hallym University Kangnam Sacred Heart Hospital has been providing various programs for multicultural families since last year in cooperation with the Multicultural Family Support center.
