Hallym University Sacred Heart Hospital held an informational session for medical tourism targeting Chinese tourist guides at the hospital’s Hanmaeum Hall on March 8, 2014.

Around 300 Chinese-language speaking tour guides participated in the event which was held in conjunction with Korea Tourist Guide Association’s workshop.

The hospital has been gearing up for luring international patients from China in particular and it hopes to attract more Chinese tourists by working closely with tour guides and the Korea Tourist Guide Association.

Followed by welcome messages by Dr. Ji-Woong Cho of General Surgery, Dr. Yu Jin Baek of Family Medicine, and Chief Administrative Officer Kwang Hee Ahn, Dr. Seung Won Jung of Plastic Surgery gave a presentation for treatment and surgery which Chinese tourists visiting Korea are highly interested in.

“I’m impressed by Hallym University Sacred Heart Hospital’s medical expertise and facilities,” said a tour guide who participated in the event. “This is a great hospital and I would like to bring international patients who are interested in getting treatment in Korea.”
