Hallym University Medical Center hosted the 9th Hallym-Columbia-Weill Cornell-NYP International Symposium under the theme, “Novel Anti-cancer Treatment Modalities for Gastrointestinal Cancer” at the auditorium in Hallym University Dongtan Sacred Heart Hospital on October 30, 2012.


Professor Manish A. Shah of Gastrointestinal Oncology at Weill Cornell Medical College, Professor Dae Young Zang of Hematology-Oncology and Professor Ji-Woong Cho of Surgery at Hallym University Sacred Heart Hospital shared their opinions on the diagnosis and treatment for gastric cancer.


Professor Shah presented gastric cancer subtypes and implications for drug development, and Professor Zang introduced a optimizing adjuvant and neoadjuvant chemotherapy for gastric cancer. Professor Cho told about minimal invasive surgery for gastric cancer.
