Hallym University Hangang Sacred Heart Hospital

Hallym University Medical Center (HUMC) successfully carried out the Korea International Cooperation Agency’s project on “The Establishment of a Central General Hospital in Quang Nam Province, Vietnam.” Since Hallym was designated by the KOICA as a Project Management Consultant (PMC) in 2007, it has counseled construction and operation of the new hospital.

With a total floor space of 33,655 square meters and 500 patient beds, Quangnam Central General Hospital (QNCGH) was open on July 19, 2012. The seven-story facility features 21 clinical departments in main building and 4 annexes. The opening of the new hospital is expected to satisfy the demand for medical services in central Vietnam and ultimately upgrade the quality of medical system in Vietnam through the introduction of advanced medical skills and cutting-edge medical facilities.

For the last five years, Hallym has dispatched its medical professionals to consult construction and operation of the hospital such as architectural design, organization of clinical departments and specialized centers, arrangement of facilities and medical equipment and on-site trainings.

President Hae-Ran Lee congratulated the successful opening of QNCGH by saying, “For the last five years, we at Hallym have actively worked on transferring our management skills and medical technologies. I sincerely hope QNCGH will develop into one of the best medical institutions in Vietnam. Furthermore, I wish our endeavors could be contributory to deepening the friendship between Korea and Vietnam in the days ahead.”
