Kangnam Offers Free Check-ups to Immigrants and Foreign Workers

Hallym University Kangnam Sacred Heart Hospital provided immigrants and foreign workers with the free check-ups for cardiovascular diseases(CVDs) on March 29, 2012. The event was attended by 150 foreigners from various countries including China and Mongolia who are living in Korea.


The free check-ups for CVDs included a blood pressure measurement, a blood test and a carotid ultrasonography, followed by consultation of Kangnam professors. Before the check-ups, all participants were actively heard a lecture on CVDs by Dr. Jung Rae Cho, professor of cardiology, and watched a video on the diseases in Chinese.


Dr. Cho who suggested and organized this event said, “We will keep providing immigrants and foreign workers with free CVDs check-ups to help them get more medical benefits in the future.”
