30th Anniversary Symposium: Frontiers in Translational Neurosciences

This year marks the 30th anniversary of Hallym University’s foundation. To commemorate the occasion, Hallym University Medical Center is hosting the international symposium on neuroscience at the Grand Ballroom of the COEX in Seoul on May 14, 2012.


Under the theme, ‘Frontiers in Translational Neurosciences: From Bench to Bedside,’ medical experts from Hallym’s affiliated institutions are going to share their thoughts on neurodegenerative diseases, brain mapping and molecular imaging, and cerebrovascular diseases.


Among the international dignitaries who will join the symposium are Professor Anders Hallberg, Former President of Uppsala University in Sweden, Professor Paolo Bernardi of University of Padova in Italy, Professor Karen Duff and Professor Scott A. Small of Columbia University in the U.S, and Professor Izumi Nagata of Nagasaki University in Japan.


Over 200 participants from the nation's universities, hospitals, clinics, and medical professors and students are expected to join the academic event.
