Fourteen Mongolian medical experts from the Health Sciences University and the Second General Hospital visited Hallym University Chuncheon Sacred Heart Hospital and met with Hallym faculty members on January 11-12, 2012. They discussed ways to establish a network of cooperation.

The Mongolian doctors took a first-hand look at the hospital’s facilities including an operation room, a cancer center, an MRI room, a radiation therapy room and an angiography room. After the tour, they received basic medical check-ups including X-rays, and blood tests at the hospital.

Dr. Yadamsuren, a dermatologist of the Health Sciences University, said, “I think the hospital provides a pleasant and comfortable environment and a systematic management process for patients. So I will actively recommend Hallym University Chuncheon Sacred Heart Hospital to my patients who want to receive medical treatment overseas.”

Dr. Sang-Soo Lee, an orthopedic surgeon at Hallym University Chuncheon Sacred Heart Hospital, noted, “As some Mongolian doctors join our fellowship programs, the number of Mongolian patients are increasing. Also, the Mongolian trainees are helping us communicate with patients from Mongolia.”

Meanwhile, Hallym University Chuncheon Sacred Heart Hospital has been promoting marketing activities to attract international patients by expanding its cooperative networks with medical institutions in Central Asian countries such as Mongolia, Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan.
