Hallym University Medical Center(HUMC) has recently published the 2010 Annual Report (in a Korean-English edition) which introduces goals for 2010, a chronology and ten major activities: The 3rd-term Mighty Hallym Initiative 2012•2015 Declaration Ceremony; The 8th Hallym-Columbia-Weill Cornell-NYP Symposium; The 3rd Hallym-Uppsala International Symposium; The 1st Hallym-Padova International Symposium; Nation’s First Mobile-OCS/EMR for Smart Phones; Ground-breaking for Hallym’s New Hospital in Dongtan; Hallym Experts Save Vietnamese Burn Kids; Hallym & WE Start Center Offer Medical Aids in Cambodia; Hallym Offers Community Services; and Hallym Operates Welfare Center
Dr. Hae-Ran Lee, HUMC President, said in her message, “The year 2010 was a time that Hallym charted its vision to be in the group of the world’s top 100 medical institutions, and drafted overall action plans by mustering all of its competence to realize the vision. On March 6, 2010, we held a vision declaration ceremony 'The 3rd-term Mighty Hallym Initiative 2012ㆍ2015' We disclosed a new vision, ‘Moving on to Be a Mighty Global Player with Unmatched Expertise through Medical Excellence,’ and pledged our strong will to act and determination to materialize our ambitious plan. With Hallym University Dongtan Sacred Heart Hospital and a translational research center being established in 2012 and 2015, respectively, we will never slacken our efforts to become a top-notch clinical and research institution.”
