Hallym University Hangang Sacred Heart Hospital

Dr. Mark A. Hardy, Auchincloss Professor of Surgery, Columbia University College of Physicians & surgeons, and Dr. Robert Kelly, Senior Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital, visited Korea and met with the Hallym leadership from May 6 to 14.

Hallym leadership including Chairman Dai-Won Yoon, the Ilsong Educational Foundation, and Dr. Hae-Ran Lee, President of Hallym University Medical Center(HUMC) welcomed the two experts from New York, discussed pending medical issues and sought ways to better and expand mutual academic cooperation.

Dr. Hardy, a founder and a former director of Renal & Islet Transplantation Center at Columbia University, played a crucial role in helping the two institutions reach an affiliation in 2002, which later enabled professors and medical students of Hallym to join clinical training programs at Columbia University.
