Chuncheon Sacred Heart Hospital has recently been designated as an excellent Regional Pharmacovigilance Center (RPVC) by the Pharmacovigilance Research Network (PVNet) of the Korea Food and Drug Administration (KFDA). It was learned at a PVNet symposium making the third year of its inaugaration held on January 28 at Seoul National University College of Medicine.
Among the nation’s 21 hospitals, the Chuncheon RPVC showed the most remarkable achievements in reporting adverse drug reaction (ADR) to side effects per 100 patient beds.
“We know the pharmacotherapy is an important method for dealing with patients, but by accident, it could be a threat of human life any time. In this sense, we will keep doing our best to secure medication safety. While advancing our medical quality,” Dr. Myung-Goo Lee, director of the Chuncheon RPVC, said.
