Hallym University Hangang Sacred Heart Hospital

Hangang Sacred Heart Hospital held the 2nd International Symposium of the Specialization Research Center in the auditorium at the hospital on December 14, 2010.

The meeting was hosted by Hangang’s Specialization Research Center and sponsored by Hallym University, the Ministry of Health, Welfare and Family Affairs and the Korea Health Industry Development Institute (KHIDI).

Korean experts and world-renowned medical professionals from Japan, Singapore and Taiwan shared their views on “Wound Healing after Burn Injuries”. Among the foreign specialist included Dr. Colin Song of Burn Center at Singapore General Hospital(SGH), Mr. Tony Wei-Hung LIU, Deputy CEO of Sunshine Social Welfare Foundation, Taiwan, and Dr. Shigeru Morinobu, professor of Hiroshima University, Japan.

Dr. Ho-Guen Chang, the hospital director, said, “We have been working hard to grow as a globally competent research center through basic research of burn-treatment, as well as to support investigative education and to raise the biotechnological industry. We look forward to providing an opportunity for open exchange of scientific experiences, promoting the expertise in our fields, and progressing strategies and treatment skills in staged cares for burn patients.”
