Dr. Woo-Jung Park, director of the cardiovascular center of Hallym University Sacred Heart Hospital, performed a joint coronary arteries interventional procedure with Dr. Kiyoshi Hibi, professor of Yokohama City University Medical Center.
They treated four patients with cardiovascular diseases including a 60-year-old man who had been suffering from Chronic Total Occlusion(CTO), one of the highly risky cardiovascular operations. Dr. Hibi, a Japanese expert on the CTO care, has been invited to academic conferences in Japan and other countries for lectures on his recent studies.
Since its opening in 1999, the cardiovascular center of Hallym University Sacred Heart Hospital has been playing a crucial role in the southern Seoul, while annually performing 1,800 cases of angiocardiography and cardiovascular interventions.
