The agency screened hospitals in general which provided hemodialysis to patients. Each medical institution was evaluated on its organization such as human resources, medical equipment and facilities, and on the process and results of treatment such as medical adequacy, vessel control, and anemia management.
At the result, Hangang scored 94.2 points, which was higher than the overall average of 81.8, a divisional average of 84, and a regional average of 86.1, respectively.
Hangang is now recognized as a safe and effective facility for hemodialysis, falling into a top 0.2% in the number of nephrologists, the rate of implementation of water quality tests, the rate of implementation of hemodialysis adequacy evaluation, and the rate of implementation of arteriovenous fistula stenosis monitoring.
