Two scientific papers of Dr. Kyoung-Ha Park, assistant professor of cardiology at Hangang Sacred Heart Hospital, appear in the two American journals on cardiology.

His paper, 'Noninvasive brachial-ankle pulse wave velocity in hypertension patients with left ventricular hypertrophy,' was carried in the March edition of American Journal of Hypertension.

The appearance of left ventricular hypertrophy to a hypertension patient is a predictable change for a prospective cardiovascular accident. It is usually diagnosed by the expensive transthoracic echocardiography. According to his paper, however, Dr. Park has found that the appearance of left ventricular hypertrophy on hypertension patients can also be detected by rather cheap, noninvasive brachial-ankle pulse wave velocity.

Another paper of his, 'The effects of trimetazidine after sheath injury of redial artery,' will be in the June edition of the American Journal of Cardiology.
