Hallym Greets Tokai Medical Experts

No.2424 Date2010-02-10 Hit 32378

Seven Japanese medical delegates from Tokai University Hospital including its chief medical officer visited Hallym University Sacred Heart Hospital on February 9, 2010.

The visit was to strengthen their mutual cooperation, and share opinions on three-month training programs that Tokai has been offering to an average of sixteen Hallym nurses every year since 1994.

The Tokai delegation took a first-hand look at the Hallym's medical equipment and facilities of the health promotion center, wards, an operating theater, an intensive care unit, and an emergency room, at Hallym University Sacred Heart Hospital and Kangnam Sacred Heart Hospital. The Japanese medical experts looked around the hospital supplies and signboards, and were deeply inspired by Hallym's cutting-edge medical infrastructure such as an Image-Guided Radiation Therapy(IGRT), a da Vinci Robotic surgical system, a full-Picture Archiving Communication System(PACS), an Electronic Medical Record(EMR), and the nation's first digital integrated medical information system, or the RefoMax system, which connects medical and administrative information of Hallym's five affiliate hospitals, creating great synergy effects.

Dr. Shigeharu Tagkagi, a chief medical officer of Tokai University Hospital, said, "I feel the convenient facilities, excellent equipment and kind medical staff of Hallym create a perfect harmony, and Hallym's most up-to-date medical equipment and the information system are things to be much envied by many. I hope we could further cement our friendship in the future."

Since it dispatched nurses to Tokyo General Hospital in 1990, Hallym University Medical Center has been sending twenty nurses to Japan on training courses every year.
