Hallym University Hangang Sacred Heart Hospital

Hallym University entered into an affiliation agreement with the George Washington University Medical Center(GWUMC) on February 25, 2009. With a catch-phrase of "Hallym's Global Excellence," it has directed its efforts to expand the international networks of cooperation with many top-notch universities and medical institutions throughout the world.

This affiliation will contribute to building a solid foundation for securing Hallym's competitive edge in an era of globalization. It is also expected that a variety of international activities such as the exchange of student and faculty and the organization of academic symposiums will be carried out.

Founded in 1824, the GWUMC is especially known for its Cancer Institute, Response to Emergencies and Disasters Institute, Institute for Spirituality and Health, Ronald Reagan Institute for Emergency Medicine, Center for Health Policy, Minimally Invasive Surgery, and Cardiovascular Research and Treatment.
