Chuncheon Sacred Heart Hospital celebrated its opening of an angiography center on January 21, 2008, with a tape-cutting ceremony being held at the hospital auditorium. The event started out with congratulatory remarks by Dr. Sang-Gon Lee, hospital director, and lectures were given on cerebrovascular interventions by Prof. Seung-Hun Sin, Department of Neurosurgery and on abdominal interventions by Prof. Heung-Cheol Kim, Department of Radiology, respectively.

The newly introduced angiography system of Simens of Germany is the most sophisticated equipment to detect artery and vein diseases using radiation. This technique can not only accurately diagnose a variety of vascular diseases including cerebral hemorrhage but also delicately treat diseases through radiation interventions. Moreover, its dynamic CT enables surgeons to gain access to 3D images, and thanks to its drastically advanced technology, helps them accurately diagnose minute parts of the body and swiftly operate on patients with cerebrovascular diseases.
