Hallym University Hangang Sacred Heart Hospital

Kangdong Sacred Heart Hospital signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the National Pension Service (NPS) on December 26, 2008. The purpose of the MOU is to set up a video conference system in order to provide consulting services for the disability screening.

A total of 13 Kangdong doctors are now in charge of determining levels of disability. This new system, the first of its kind in Korea, is expected to enable Kangdong to get direct access to data on disability pensions and reduce screening hours with better efficiency through the remote screening kit.

"I am convinced it would be good news to our staff, the pension service, and to those who are expected to be screened" Dr. Keun-Man Shin, Chief Medical Officer of the hospital, Said.
