Dr. Brita Winsa, professor of endocrinology, department of medical sciences, Uppsala University, Sweden, visited Hallym University Scared Heart Hospital (HUSHH). The purpose of her visit was to discuss future cooperative ways between Hallym and Uppsala which jointly held the first Hallym-Uppsala Symposium last month. During her stay in Korea from October 22 to 27, she participated in the 50th anniversary ceremony of the National Medical Center (NMC) in Seoul and also looked around Korean cultural properties in Gyeongju-si.

"I am happy to say that the first Hallym-Uppsala international symposium was successfully held on October 9. I wish our collaborative partnership could last long in the future, and I also would like to ask for your interest and advice to activate programs for student exchange and join research" Chairman Yoon said at a meeting with Dr. Winsa. She responded that the bilateral relations between Hallym and Uppsala will grow into being matured and mutually beneficial in the long run.
Earlier this year, Hallym medical delegates led by Chairman Dai-Won Yoon visited the Swedish educational institution to tap the possibility of the two-way cooperation between Uppsala and Hallym. Now both institutions are preparing for the second symposium which will be held in Uppsala in May next year.
