Hallym University Hangang Sacred Heart Hospital

Dr. Gerald D. Fischbach, dean emeritus of the faculty of medicine at Columbia University, arrived in Seoul on August 10, 2008 for an honorary doctorate awarded by Hallym University. He was accompanied by his wife, Dr. Ruth L. Fischbach, Professor of Bioethics at Columbia University.
It was the couple's first visit to Korea. To make their four-day trip a memorable and enriching experience, Hallym University and Hallym University Medical Center (HUMC) have come up with the following program:

During their stay in Korea, Dr. Dai-Won Yoon, Chairman of the Board of Trustees, Ilsong Educational Foundation, said "I wish to renew my congratulations and gratitude to Dr. Fischbach for receiving an honorary doctorate and giving an excellent lecture. I also pledge myself to further continue and strengthen the existing bilateral cooperative relations between Columbia and Hallym. And I earnestly hope for your continued concern, encouragement for Hallym in the days to come."
