Anesthesiology & Pain Medicine
The Department of Anesthesiology and Pain Medicine has made great efforts to help surgeons successfully perform various surgeries. Today, the scope of treatment of anesthesiology and pain medicine has expanded from simply managing anesthesia in the operating room into being responsible for key areas of the medical community such as intensive care, respiratory management, pain care, and emergency medicine. With the development of medicine and technology in anesthesiology, safe and comfortable anesthesia management is being carried out in more diverse areas and places than before.
The Department of Anesthesiology and Pain Medicine is a part of an integrated treatment team specializing in burns (the only university hospital-level burn hospital in Korea) and provides acute surgery management for severe burn patients.
In addition, more comfortable burn treatment is provided through management of surgical treatment of chronic burns and sedation during non-surgical treatment, helping patients to recover to their daily lives.
